Solicitations and Bid Opportunities
RiverCities Transit is a division of the City of Longview. The City utilizes the Builder’s Exchange of Washington (BXWA) to advertise construction solicitations. Please visit BXWA to register and view current opportunities. For assistance with accessing, downloading, or printing the solicitation documents, please contact BXWA at (425) 258-1303. By downloading the solicitation from BXWA, you will receive automated notification of any future solicitation addenda.
Non-construction opportunities are advertised in the Daily Journal of Commerce, the RiverCities Transit, and City of Longview website, and with the Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises at a minimum.
For additional information, please contact RiverCities Transit staff by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be sure to include the project number and title in your request.
Disadvantaged and Small Business Enterprises
We encourage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and Small Business Enterprises (SBE) to register. DBE’s may register at the Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises website omwbe.wa.gov. There are several resources available to DBE’s looking for funding and technical assistance. The US Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization’s (OSDBU) provides technical and financial assistance, including outreach and training services to small businesses in order to prepare them to compete and participate in federally funded contracts.
The City of Longview is proposing a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for October 1, 2017 – September 30, 2020 is 1%. To review the goal methodology click here.
