Service Change – RiverCities Transit

Service Changes Starting on Monday, April 20, 2026

On Monday, April 20, 2026, RiverCities Transit will start the following service changes:

Route 33: To improve on-time-performance, we will move the 42^nd Ave. — Olympia Way – 46^th Ave. section of route to Route 44. This will eliminate Saturday service along this section.

Route 33 will serve Ocean Beach Hwy between 38^th Ave. and Mt. Solo Rd.

Route 44: Adds service on 42^nd Ave. – Olympia Way – 46^th Ave., Monday – Friday.

Service along Ocean Beach Hwy between 42^nd Ave. and 46th Ave. will be provided by Route 33.

This will result in minor changes to the current schedule’s time points.

Route 411: To enhance safety, the northbound stop at Solomon Drive will be eliminated. Solomon Drive will still be served southbound. It will depart from the transit center at the top of the hour to allow transfer to other routes. It will continue its current schedule start times of 6:30 am, followed by departures from the Transit Center at 7 am, 8 am, 9 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm, and 5 pm.

Route 433: The 6:20 pm trip leaving Longview will be eliminated due to a lack of riders. The other departure times have been adjusted by 5 minutes to allow time to make connections to other routes. New departure times from the Longview Transit Center will be 8:15 am, 11:15 am, 2:15 pm, and 4:15 pm. We have added a new stop at Rockcrest.

Route 511: The main Woodland stop will be moved from the Park & Ride to the curbside by McDonald’s at Pacific Ave. & Columbia St. To improve on-time-performance. We will now run 5 complete trips from the Longview Transit Center to the 99th St Vancouver Station. See below for the new schedule.

Two New Commuter Bus Services to begin on July 1, 2025

RiverCities Transit is pleased to announce the start of two new commuter bus services, designated Route 433 and Route 511, beginning July 1, 2025. Current RiverCities Transit fares and passes will apply to both routes.

Longview, WA – Rainier, OR

Route 433 will provide Monday – Friday commuter bus service between Longview Transit Center, Rainier Transit Center, and Rainier Senior/Community Center.

Route 433 will depart Longview five times and return from Rainier four times each weekday. Please see the Route 433 timetable below.

This new service is made possible by a grant of the Federal Transit Administration, with the cooperation of the Oregon Department of Transportation and Washington State Department of Transportation, matched by funding from the Cowlitz Transit Authority and the City of Rainier.

Longview, WA – Vancouver, WA

Route 511 will provide Monday – Friday commuter bus service between Longview Transit Center and the 99^th Street Transit Center in Vancouver, with stops at Kalama Toteff Park, Woodland Park & Ride, and the Cowlitz Reservation at ilani.

Until new vehicles are delivered, Route 511 will make three trips to Vancouver and two trips to ilani timed to meet C-TRAN Route 48 for direct connections to Vancouver. Please see the Route 511 timetable below.

Route 511 will be funded by a Washington State transportation budget proviso and the Cowlitz Transit Authority. RiverCities Transit thanks the Cowlitz Transit Authority Board, the Washington Senate and House Transportation Committees, and the Washington State Transit Association and its lobbyists for their diligent efforts to secure the funding.

With Lower Columbia Community Action Program discontinuing its rural transportation service, this will continue the long history of I-5 transit service.
